INTRODUCTION

The Department of Urdu established in 1965 with the establishment of College.

VISION

Seth Kesarimal Porwal College, Kamptee was established in the year 1965, under the auspices of Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Kamptee to cater to the educational needs of the economically backward, socially deprived and diverse minority population of Kamptee town and the surrounding villages which were not having adequate avenues for higher education and self development.Thus the vision of the institute is:
1. Education for all
2. Education as a means of elimination of poverty.
3. Education as means of social inclusiveness and communal harmony

MISSION

1. To provide advance quality education and knowledge to all, specially to the deprived section of the society.
2. To cater for all-round development of the students including academic sports and cultural development .
3. To develop a sense of community feeling among the students.
4. To develop social awareness and social commitment in the students.
5. proactive qualities among the students so as to be competitive and successful in career building.

HISTORY

Doctor Jamal who has also been approved Ph. D Adviser retired 2004. 2004 to 2009 the Department has been run with the help of contributory Teachers. At present the Department is headed by Doctor Azhar Abrar and Assistant Prof Mohammad Asrar. The Department under the banner of Bhasha Abhyas Mandal has been conducting various programs in Urdu for the last 12 years. On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the College A National Level Mushaira was held .in the Department so many literary programs and mock Mushaira conducted by the Students was organized.
