Goals and Objectives

1. To help the students from vernacular medium background in learning English language to develop their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
2. To inculcate independent and proper study habit.
3. To enhance the understanding and applicability of English language outside the classroom.
4. To sharpen their skills confidence and competencies for a better future.

HISTORY

The Department of English was established in the year 1965. The intake capacity for undergraduate course is 920 students. The Department also runs UGC sponsored one year certificate course in Functional English .
