INTRODUCTION The college was established in July 1965.Right from the establishment of the college, it offers Political-Science subject at U.G Level in both Marathi & Hindi medium. In the beginning years ,departmental activities were perform and supervised by Prof Chande,Prof.Tapas &Prof Dhavle.Dr.Sanjeev.C.Shirpurkar & Dr.Yashwant Meshram joined this department in 2005 and 2008 respectively. Students and Teachers have actively participated in the Academic and co-curricular activities of the college like Blood Donation, Tree Plantation, Essay and Debate Competition,Mushaira,N.S.S,N.C.C etc.This department time to time organizes deferent programmes like Constitutional Day, Human Rights Day, Voters Day to make the students aware about their rights and duties about the Nation. The department constantly focuses on the students seminars and oral presentation to develop their skills. It also organizes various Guest lecturers in order to increase their knowledge about the “Role of Political-Science in Competitive Examinations”. HIGHLIGHTS Achievement Majorand Activities Taken- 1. Webinar’s – Two National Level Webinars were Organized on “Right to Information Act & Administrative Transparency” and “Challenges before Indian Democracy”. 2. Miner Research Project- 01 Final Report Submitted on 25/06/2022. 3. Our Student Aalia Ali won the Trophy in state level Debate competition. 4. Our student Gulaafshan Naaz won the Inter-Collegiate Essay Competition 5. Three books were Published by Faculty . 6.
